What is your name? Jonathan S.
How old are you? 31
What do you do for a living?
Real Estate Private Equity, with a concentration on hospitality projects.
What got you interested in watches and what do you love about them?
My grandfather bought a gold Rolex when he found out his first grandchild (me) was born. He came to the hospital right from the jeweler. He always had his priorities in order.
Do you have a favorite watch brand? If so, what is it and why?
I used to love gazing through the window of the jewelry store in Montgomery Mall, Bethesda, Maryland with my little brother. I always thought Breitlings looked the most badass of all the watches they had in the display. I wasn’t wrong.
What watch(es) are getting your Wrist Time lately?
A Breitling Navitimer Two-Tone, Omega Speedmaster Professional and a Bell and Ross Phantom BR03-92.
What watch that you own or owned had the best story you could share?
It hasn’t happened yet, but I’m hoping when it does, it’s not nearly as obnoxious as some of the ones I’ve heard during my tenure in NYC.
What advice would you give someone just starting out as a watch enthusiast?
Hold onto ‘em as long as you can. If you’re still holding onto your watches, you haven’t hit rock bottom yet.
