What is your name? My name is William, my user name on The Rolex Forums is wllnv19.
How old are you? I'm 51
What do you do for a living?
I recently retired after 30 plus years as a Firefighter/Paramedic.
What got you interested in watches and what do you love about them?
I've loved watches for as far back as I can remember. As a young boy I remember wearing Timex watches, don't know why but have always had a fascination with them.
Do you have a favorite watch brand? If so, what is it and why?
Rolex, it represents quality and craftsmanship to me. I also love that even though the watches have evolved over the years, they still maintain the same classic look and style.
What watch(es) are getting your wrist time lately?
My new WG Sub...don't seem to want to take it off! [pictured at top]
What watch that you own or owned had the best story you could share?
When I was about 8 my father gave me a Longines that his dad have given him in the early 50s.
I wore that watch for many years put it away and forgot about it. I recently took it out of storage had it refurbished and gave it to my son shortly before my father passed a few months ago.
That watch was on my sons wrist at his High School Graduation this past June.
What advice would you give someone just starting out as a watch enthusiast?
Buy with your heart not your head. Sometimes we buy what we think we should based on other factors and not what we really want.
